advice from the heart

Something I have been working on every so often, whenever I get a chance to take a break from my studies.
But winter break is so close, and I fear I am becoming lazy...
冬休みは来週始める！ただ、今はゴロゴロしたいよ。。


An evening stroll, looking at the christmas lights. But it was too cold. I didn't want to take my hands out of my pockets.
寒い天気はあまり好きじゃないけど、光は美しい。

hello autumn

This past weekend, I made a special trip to the country to have some sort of reassurance that fall is really present.
Trees normally stay green all year around in the city, so it's quite exciting to see other trees with autumn colors.
Do the leaves change colors where you live?

Driving through the Texas hill country always brings a sort of overwhelming feeling of peace.
I love the feeling of being surrounded by huge mountain like hills. It's as if they could swallow me whole.
I wouldn't mind...

I was so fortunate to met TEZ (bottom left) , the band's beatboxer, and Takuya Nakamura (bottom right), the pianist/multi-instrumentalist for the band.
Takuya was sooo nice! とってもやさしい！I even spoke with him in Japanese.　恥ずかしかった！笑顔は大きいね！
The concert was beyond wonderful, such a beautiful memory that will forever live quietly in my mind.
Oh my, it's already November! I cannot believe it. Time is slipping through my fingers.

the macabre works of 'Colette Saint Yves'

BOO! It's getting closer to Halloween, and I can't wait for the classic movie channel to have it's annual Horror Film Marathon.
Also, episodes of the Twilight Zone start coming on other television channels. Yes, I very much enjoy the spookiness that surrounds Halloween.
If any of you enjoy scary movies, please let me know which are your favorite. I am always in search new horror films.

These beautiful, yet haunting, works are done by the collage-video artist, and photographer, Hortense Lagrange aka Colette Saint Yves .
Her works remind me of the eerie band Timber Timbre; both strangely alluring.
I also like that Ms. Colette uses early film stars in some of her collages.
