Last week was my birthday! Oh, I cannot believe that I'm finally...an "adult"...
haha! So I was wondering what it really means to be an adult, and the best conclusion I could come up with was this:
doing things you might not really want to do, but in the end, you'll be glad you did these things.
For example, waking up early at 6:30 am to go to your job (yes, I'm getting up early for this!),
organizing and cleaning everyday (even though I should already be doing this..)
NOT laying in bed all day on Sunday to watch movies. Basically, being productive and proactive.
Anyways, I will continue growing this year, and I know it might be difficult at first, but I'll do my best!


Here are some photos from my new Minolta SRT 100! I love it! I have never been this happy with an SLR camera. :)
I bought it at a bargain price... It was too good of a deal to pass up.

So, I've been busy with school. Ever since I changed my major, I'm actually excited about school. I love creating, and learning about art.
I'm looking forward to share some of my projects here!
Also, as I mentioned, I finally got a part time job, that doesn't conflict with my school schedule.
More on that later.

advice from the heart

Something I have been working on every so often, whenever I get a chance to take a break from my studies.
But winter break is so close, and I fear I am becoming lazy...
冬休みは来週始める！ただ、今はゴロゴロしたいよ。。


An evening stroll, looking at the christmas lights. But it was too cold. I didn't want to take my hands out of my pockets.
寒い天気はあまり好きじゃないけど、光は美しい。

hello autumn

This past weekend, I made a special trip to the country to have some sort of reassurance that fall is really present.
Trees normally stay green all year around in the city, so it's quite exciting to see other trees with autumn colors.
Do the leaves change colors where you live?

Driving through the Texas hill country always brings a sort of overwhelming feeling of peace.
I love the feeling of being surrounded by huge mountain like hills. It's as if they could swallow me whole.
I wouldn't mind...

Hello, how are you? Recently I had been experiencing some fall like weather, but the days are still hot!
So, I'm not quite ready for fall. I really want to bake some pumpkin muffins and make some pumpkin soup!
The grocery store also has some really lovely fall squashes that I want to try...
(Maybe it is a little silly to be excited about squashes)
What about autumn makes you excited?

雨の天気

Lately, the weather has been very strange.
It barely rains during the year, so rain in the summertime is very rare.
I am very welcoming to the rainy weather, but it's just so foreign to me.
I hope where you are, the weather is enjoyable.

the best gifts

Anything that is tasty on toast, or things that are nicely scented, always make good gifts.
I don't think I have ever met anyone who wouldn't be pleased with such things.

This vanilla peach preserve is so sweet! It's very delicious with ice-cream.
And I am certain that it will taste heavenly on waffles or pancakes. 食べたいだ！

I started some new embroidery awhile ago, but I haven't found the time to finish it yet.
But I have been busy, making other little things...

バラ色の人生

I only have one way of knowing when it is officially springtime.
When the roses in the garden start to bloom, then I know that winter is finally over.




The smaller ones are my favorite because they have the best smell.
